Will there be planets that grow under game-time
or will all world be set in a different way?

I personally would like if the planets could change between collonies
and largue civilisation.

Where all the players can build expand or destroy settlements.

In fact I would like an civilisation building-rp.

Well I'd say in between both. There will be a set part of the world, as there is a reason for it. But as well players will be allowed to build certain things. We haven't got very involved in doing this just yet, as I'm going to be finishing the game soon (Apologizes for everyone, but life came up!) But the IRC server will be around in 2-3 weeks.

But continuing on, We expect to add things like this, being able to build and run stores, homes, etc. We also have plans for a HUGE gang (clan as you say it in old time games) system. Some parts involve being able to purchace land, build on it, hire goons, buy turrets, protected doors, special areas in the gang area, and a vault. The vault holding important artifacts (special shards), that grant a stat/ability bonus to whomever is in the gang. Which then, there will be raids, (One a week per clan against the same clan, unless we see fit to have more.) in a attempt to get to the VAULT and steal one 'special shards'.. Now everyone will start with no special shards, and there will only be al imited amount, depending on how many gangs there are currently. It will basicly be a build building/attack/defend system after your done leveling. I WANT to promote something to do with your character instead of nothing after leveling to max level.

So there will be a set part of the world?
For reasons?

That is interesting.
What kind of things will they be?

Will there be hunting grounds for monsters or
an static healer in these set parts etc.
Will certain quests be build in the set part of the world?

How consistent will this bee?

Do you have any plan for how the static gamplay
in the set part of the world will be?

Otherwise, I did like to simulate a society.
Specifically economics and politics.
Nations with players as leaders and where players can vote etc.

The gang system is very interesting thought.

I did like something rpg-ish.

Like gangs having stories, being different social casts
or tribes or nations.

For example, one group of all scientists
are at war with all priests.

Really sorry I didn't reply earlier, like I said, I JUST got net back because I moved.

Yeah, storyline is a big reason why we would need set parts of the world. Generally every city could have a general 'set/defined' part, and then a area where players could buy houses, shops, etc etc in the city. We have to see how this works.

Again, storyline, this will be a big part because the game will have dynamic updates to the areas, and other things. I want it so that we can change things quickly as we do 'quests'. Normally we are hoping to do a quest every week, one that changes the world, opens something, awards something, things like that. Generally it will be a big part of 'what are shards' and some 'special' shards that will not be able to be purchased. Basicly, a ongoing storyline.

There will be grounds for hunting monsters, and other things. We have a basic story (I'll show you sometime) but it may need changing, its pretty old, and we may want to go another way, it depends on how it goes. But like every MUD, theres always a general set of monsters in the "outside world".. We will just have to make them more unique then others. Static healers, perhaps, but its not on my 'todo' list just yet.

As for storylines, we can add them in gang wars as well. Special things the gangs must grab, special big areas where they fight there way to the end, things like that.. But the whole gang vs gang will be big I feel.

We can always have cities that are totally 'player run' as well. Like a whole nation with a leader, full player stores, houses, everything run by players.
